Our roomy Apartment has a spacious living area, ideal for a couple ready to explore the Peak District National Park.

Located 900ft above sea level with stunning views just a stroll away.

Parking off road on its own drive for upto 2 cars.

The apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen with full oven /hob and fridge freezer, washer dryer. Dining / Lounge area with wifi / smart TV / DVD.

Just minutes from Matlock, Wirksworth, Cromford, Bakewell and many stunning local attractions.

The Space

The apartment forms part of an old inn called the Miners Standard which dates back to before 1783. It has all the charm of a character derbyshire mining village with all the creature comforts of modern living inside.

We have high quality double bed including a pocket sprung / memory foam mattress. With high thread count bedding and anti allergy quilts and pillows.

Branded products throughout in the kitchen and a JVC multimedia TV / DVD for your relaxing time infront of the tv.

Guest Access

You will have access to the apartment via its own private front door.

There is a back door out to the smoking area and steps up to the back garden and allocated decking / outdoor seating area. You will be met by Helen and Rod to show you around upon arrival and check-in.

There is parking available on our driveway for stays in the apartment for 2 guests cars only.

Interaction With Guests

We suggest guests arriving by car reverse onto our driveway as it makes it far easier driving out.
If you require some further information on the surrounding area, we are happy to help, as we work from home. We have left local attraction leaflets in the apartment to give you a guide, along with selection of books on the area.

We are sure you’ll love are little village as much as we do.

There is a local co-op at the bottom of the Hill going into Wirksworth which you can get everything you need for your stay regarding food etc. Its a 5 minute drive down the hill or 25 mins walking normally taking in the views. The same town has an array of independent shops which you can get fresh bread, meat etc covering everything your need.

We supply some complimentary tea, coffee and sugar and a pint of milk so you can sit down and relax and have a drink straight away upon arrival. On some occasions you may have some home baked treats awaiting you too.

 

Other Things To Note

Middleton is surrounded by other picturesque villages and bustling market towns with historic buildings, speciality shops and local produce …wooded valleys overlooked by spectacular crags and cut by sparking rivers. The Derbyshire Dales has all of this – a perfect choice for a day out, a weekend break or a longer holiday.

Walkers and cyclists enjoy an unrivalled choice of waymarked paths – offering routes to suit every ability, from gentle riverside paths to challenging long-distance routes. But many people visit the area simply to enjoy a gentle stroll around one of the many unspoilt villages.

Market towns of Bakewell, Wirksworth are all unique in style and character. wealth of historic houses, including splendid Chatsworth, medieval Haddon Hall & World Heritage Site.
